The following photos document the restoration of my 1967
Mercury Cougar Standard. Restoration began in 2007 when the vehicle was exactly 40 years old. I tackled all major projects
myself with the exception of body and paint work. I have completed several
upgrades to bring this vehicle up to the twenty-first century including
electronic fuel injection, front disc brakes, speed control, and an electronic overdrive transmission. Please enjoy the photos and let me know if you have

BMW 7-Series Electrochromic (Auto-Dim) Mirror.
The stock Mercury mirror was a break-away design which developed
an annoying vibration. Also, being blinded by vehicles from behind with modern
headlights became a frequent occasion. I selected this BMW mirror because it somewhat resembles the appearance of the
stock mirror, it glues to the windshield, has hidden wiring, no buttons, and is electrochromic.
